Large jet feed Injector
The machine type PST can be delivered as a fixed or mobile unit, in 6 different sizes for a capacity of 100 to 24000 kg/h. The unit allows the mixing of 1 to 3 liquids with a solid powder or granules of a size not exceeding 5 mm.
All components are pre-assembled upon a base frame entirely in stainless steel.
The main liquid is pumped at a fixed or variable speed to build up the pressure. The feeding pump is selected according to the characteristics of the liquids
The Large jet feed injector, generates a negative pressure (vacuum) up to 800mbar by a Venturi. The vacuum is relative to the flow speed of the liquid. This negative pressure sucks the powder into the liquid and mixes it with the main liquid flow. Additional liquids, like aroma or colorants can be added directly into the injector by a feed stud.
The dosing unit for the powder is selected according to the flow properties of the solids.
The PST system can be operated in batch or continuous way. A set of valves allows the discharge or the re-circulation of the mixture. The powder characteristics and the flow capability will define whether a longer sucking time is required.
The pump transfers the liquid (3) to the inlet of the Large jet feed injector. 2,5 bars are sufficient to create the vacuum effect in the injector. When the valve for powder infeed is open, the powder is immediately dissolved (particles by particles) into the liquid. The valves (6) and (7) allows the addition of small quantities of powders or liquids.
