Container

JetSolutions SA developed and patented the "DOSICON" discharge concept for IBC
made out of:

  • DOSICON container
  • DOSICON discharge station
  • Container filling station
  • Container mixing

Dosicon Container

Electro-polished stainless steel container

Dosicon Container

«IBC» means «Intermediate Bulk Container». An IBC is therefore a mobile, flexible and rapid storage device for any powder or granulates. The DOSICON IBC developped by JetSolutions SA offers following features:

  • Dosing of the discharge of the IBC, for example when a batch is made of various powders stored in IBCs
  • Weighing of the discharged quantity of an IBC, either by loss in weight or by gain in weight
  • Easy extraction of the powder stored in DOSICON IBC, even compacted
  • Guarantee of a proof closing of the IBC cone valve
  • Cleaning of the inside of the IBC with a CIP system

Working Principle:

  • The cone valve is placed and guided in the conical bottom of the container
  • Total proof closing by means of an elastic gasket, inflatable on option
  • Total proof closing by pulling down the cone valve into its seat after discharge of the product
  • Opening of the cone valve by means of a pneumatic cylinder jack
  • Adjustable opening by setting the stroke of the jack (basic version)
  • Full range adjustable opening by means of a pneumatic motor adjusting the stroke of the jack (dosing version)
  • Dosing of the discharged product by adjustment of the opening of the cone valve versus the weight on scale, through an interface terminal IT 9000
  • Vibration of the cone in open position

Dosicon IBC discharge station

Dosicon IBC discharge station

The DOSICON discharge station has been developped and patented by JetSolutions SA for discharging the DOSICON containers (IBC). The DOSICON station offers following features:

  • Dust free discharge of the container
  • Dosing of the discharge of the IBC, for example when a batch is made out of various powders stored in other IBCs

  • The cone valve is placed and guided at the bottom of the DOSICON container
  • The cone of the discharge station lifts and open the cone valve of the container  to start discharging
  • Total proof connection of the container to the station by means of a lip gasket on the discharge station
  • Total proof closing by pulling down the cone valve into its seat after discharge of the product

Container filling station

The « CONTAINER TRANSFER SYSTEM » (CTS) developped by JetSolutions SA allows a proof connection any kind of vessel with a container for discharging powder or granulate by gravitation.

The vessel to be emptied must have its own closing device (fpr example SAK,  DOSIMAT valve, air lock, etc…). JetSolutions SA offers different technologies for:

Dust free transfer of powder or granulate into a container

Avoiding any contact with the surroundings for the powder

Connecting the container to a vessel on scale

Working Principle:

JetSolutions SA offers 3 solutions:

1) The CTS is fixed and the container is lifted

  • The top cover of the IBC must be replaced by a « male » connector cover
  • The container must be lifted until contact with the CTS and kept in this position
  • Le male connector cover is sucked by a vacuum pump in position open
  • The powder may flow trough the CTS from the vessel down into the IBC
  • The Connector cover of the IBC closes by rupture of the vacuum
  • The IBC is removed and closed with a standard cover

2) The CTS is adjusted and the container is fixed

  • The top cover of the IBC must be replaced by a « male » connector cover
  • The IBC is positionned below the CTS
  • The CTS comes down to the connector cover of the IBC
  • Le male connector cover is sucked by a vacuum pump in position open
  • The powder may flow trough the CTS from the vessel down into the IBC
  • The Connector cover of the IBC closes by rupture of the vacuum
  • The CTS is lifted, the IBC is removed and closed with a standard cover

3) The vessel lays on lad cells, The CTS is adjusted and the container is fixed

This version is similar like under 2) with additional weighing of the vessel (load cells).
The transfer is controlled by loss in weight.

Container mixing

Container mixing

A container mixing unit is designed for a particular size of container and cannot mix any size of container. The closing cone of the container must be secured with a cover (screwed into the cone) prior to mixing. The operation of container mixing may be fully automated, included the positioning of the container in the mixing unit, and its removal.

Working Principle:

The optimal mixing conditions are:

  • duration: approx. 10 min
  • mixing batch: maximum  1000 kg of powder
  • filling %: 60 % of the container volume
  • Rotation: 8 – 10 RPM
  • Container volume: 500 to 1500 lt
